Tactical Urbanism to Reclaim Space

Design Proposal
Current Condition
Current Condition Design Proposal

CURRENT CONDITION

The current layout gives too much space to vehicles, encouraging high speeds that pose risks to pedestrians. Narrow sidewalks and wide curves make walking uncomfortable and unsafe. The area lacks visual interest and discourages active use, with traffic dominating the space.

DESIGN PROPOSAL

This proposal introduces sidewalk expansions, curb extensions, and visual enhancements such as murals and differentiated pavement materials. These interventions aim to reclaim space for pedestrians and improve walkability by slowing down vehicles and enhancing visibility. The redesigned sidewalks feature art elements and playful surfaces to stimulate a more vibrant public realm.
